I had recently just started the novel
Angels and Demons, by Dan Brown. So far in the novel, symbiologist Robert Langdon receives a mysterious phone call from CERN, a nuclear research council in Europe. CERN notifies Langdon about a very mysterious outburst that has just happened. Miximilian Kohler, the director of CERN transports Langdon to CERN, which is located in Europe, in need of his help. Langdon discovers that CERN isn't just an ordinary research lab. CERN is composed of top scientists from different countries across the world. They make scientific miracles happen almost daily. Langdon then realizes something serious has just happened for him to be here. Leonardo Vetra, one of the most brilliant scientists of all time in the novel, has been murdered. Not only that, but a mysterious word has been branded across his chest. This word is
illuminati. Langdon immediately recognizes this word from his research. Langdon explains to Kohler a historical story of how
illuminati, the world's most powerful, old, and satanic cult came to be. This story involves both science and religion. No one knows why Vetra was murdered, or how the
Illuminati relates to him. I predict that Langdon and Kohler will combine their knowledge of religion and science to reveal the cause of the murder. I also believe this novel will be similar to another one of Dan Brown's novels,
Digital Fortress. I think just like in
Digital Fortress,
Angels and Demons will be filled with suspense, twists and turns, and action.
I really liked the summary of the book so far. You did a great job explaining the small details and it is definitely making me sit at the edge of my seat. I also liked how you were comparing this book to the author's other books. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteI really like your summary/preview of the book. You summarize it well enough without giving away too much information. I hope to read this book sometime.
